Quick Draw is a free online Pictionary-style draw-and-guess game: one player doodles a secret word while the rest of the room races to guess it before the clock runs out.

What is Quick Draw?

Quick Draw is an online Pictionary you play right in the browser — no box, no pencils, nothing to install. Each round, one player is handed a secret word and doodles it on a shared whiteboard while everyone else races to type the answer. Guess fast and you score more; the drawer scores when people get it. Then the pen passes to someone new, so everyone gets a turn to draw and to guess.

How to play

  1. Start a room and share the link with your friends or coworkers.
  2. Each round, one player gets a secret word to draw on the shared canvas.
  3. Everyone else types guesses in real time — the faster you're right, the more points you get.
  4. The drawer scores too whenever a guesser lands the word.
  5. Take turns until everyone has had the pen. The highest total wins.

Tips for drawing and guessing

  • Block in the big shapes first, then add detail — a clear outline reads faster than fine art.
  • Arrows, circles and underlines are fair game; letters and numbers usually aren't.
  • As a guesser, fire off partial ideas fast — early wrong guesses cost you nothing.

Why online Pictionary works at work

Like the classic Pictionary, nobody has to be good at drawing — the worse the doodle, the better it usually goes. It runs in the browser with no signup, so you can drop the room link into Slack or Teams and be playing before the standup has even wrapped. Rounds are short, up to 15 people can pile in, and remote teammates join from anywhere, which makes it an easy icebreaker for a distributed team.
