List Rush is a free, browser-based categories word game in the style of Scattergories. Everyone gets the same random letter and the same list of categories: a film, a food, an excuse. You race the clock to fill them in, and you only score big on answers nobody else thinks of. Create a room, share the link, and play with up to 15 friends or coworkers. No account, no download.
How it compares to Scattergories
Same mechanic as Scattergories: one letter, a set of categories, and unique answers score. The difference is that List Rush is online and free, so remote friends or a distributed team can play from anywhere with no physical dice or answer pads. Scoring is automatic. You do not need a Zoom screen-share or a timekeeper. Start a room and the clock runs for everyone at once.
How to play
- Everyone gets the same letter and the same list of categories.
- Fill every category with an answer that starts with that letter before time runs out.
- Answers nobody else wrote score the most. Duplicates score nothing.
- Most points across the rounds wins.
Play with friends or remote teams
Pick a name, get a room code and an invite link, and send it round in Slack or Teams. Up to 15 people can join, and it works fine for two. No signup, plays on phones, tablets, and laptops.
